RIDE check marks anniversary of fatal collision

Greater Sudbury Police conducted a RIDE initiative on Regent Street June 18, the night before the “second anniversary of the tragic collision.

Greater Sudbury Police conducted a RIDE initiative on Regent Street June 18, the night before the “second anniversary of the tragic collision.”

In 2009, the lives of Caitlin Skye Jelley, Steven Philippe and Jazmine Houle were taken by an impaired driver on Municipal Road 80, Valley East.

Lisa Jelley, the mother of Caitlin Skye, Jocelyne Philippe and Daniel Philippe, the parents of Steven, were on hand at the June 18 RIDE check to assist police in handing out red ribbons to drivers who passed through the check.
