UPDATED Dec. 30 at 11:15 a.m.

The driver of a car who caused a three-vehicle collision on Falconbridge Road around 7:20 a.m. Dec. 30 has been charged with careless driving.

The car, which was southbound at the time of the collision, lost control and spun into the path of a northbound transport truck.

A third vehicle, a southbound pickup truck with a snowplow attached, was also struck by the car.

Both the transport and the car ended up in the ditch, and received extensive damage. Although the transport was carrying slurry, it did not spill its load.

The pickup truck received minor damage.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital, but has since been released.
