Knife-wielding woman robs Lockerby Confectionery

Two individuals have been arrested in relation to the Lockerby Confectionery robbery.

A 28-year-old Sudbury woman faces the charges of robbery, disguise with intent, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime.

Her accomplice, a 34-year-old Sudbury man has been charged with robbery, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.

Members of the Break Entry and Robbery Unit are still investigating.

Police are looking for a woman involved in an armed robbery which took place at the Lockerby Confectionery on Paris Street Feb. 3 around 10:15 p.m.


The female suspect, armed with a knife, confronted the clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as being 5-4, with a heavy build, wearing a navy winter coat, light colored jeans and a multi-colored striped toque.

  • Breaching probation isn't news in Sudbury. It's the common thing with all crimes.

  • Make sure this clerk-victim who will be traumatized for life seeks workman's compensation and therapy for her well being.
    Make sure this female robber who already has been caught is not released in one day to kill or injure another female cashier.
