Dowling man charged with impaired

A 71-year-old Dowling man has been charged with impaired driving.

The Sudbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 144 south of Dowling around midnight on Feb. 4.

Officers at the scene observed that a vehicle had gone off the road after breaking 12 guide posts.

A male driver was found to have been drinking and was placed under arrest.

He will appear in court on Feb. 15.
