Armed robbers target corner store

Two men armed with what appeared to be a hand gun attempted to rob the A&L corner store on Cambrian Heights Drive April 16, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Officers responded to the robbery complaint at about 11 p.m. where it was reported that two men entered the business and demanded money.

The clerk was unharmed during the incident and the pair fled before obtaining anything.

The men are described as being approximately 5-6 and 165 lbs.

One suspect was wearing blue jeans, a brown leather jacket and a ball cap while the second man was wearing blue jeans and a dark blue hoodie.

Both men had their faces covered.

They fled on foot towards Wilma Street.

The incident is being investigated by the Break, Enter and Robbery (BEAR) unit.
