Original story

Greater Sudbury Police Service is looking for the driver of what is believed to be a brown-coloured Hyundai that was involved in a collision on Lasalle Boulevard on April 17.

Police responded to the incident at about 11:15 p.m.

The suspect vehicle attempted to make a U-turn in front of a transport truck on Lasalle Boulevard resulting in the car being struck broadside by the transport truck. The car was struck on the driver’s-side door causing extensive damage.

The crash pushed the vehicle sideways. The driver then left the scene and continued up the ramp onto Municipal Road 35 and continued toward Chelmsford.

Anyone with information or seeing a brown Hyundai vehicle with extensive damage to the driver’s-side door is asked to contact the traffic management unit of the Greater Sudbury Police Service at 705- 675-9171 ext. 2411 or ext. 2412.

In addition, anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers with any information that can assist the police service in locating the vehicle involved in this fail-to-remain investigation.
