Drugs, suspended drivers discovered during RIDE checks

RIDE checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police April 27 netted a number of charges.

One man was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample, and another man was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Two drivers blew a “warn” on the roadside screening device, and another two drivers were charged for driving while under suspension.

Police also issued 11 tickets for Highway Traffic Act offences.

In total, 695 drivers were checked.
