Markstay-Warren man charged with impaired

A 25-year-old Markstay-Warren man faces impaired charges following a May 4 RIDE spot check by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers set up on Kukagami Road and, at about 8:10 p.m., a 2005 Dodge pickup truck arrived at the checkpoint. The driver failed the roadside screening test and was transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

He has been charged with impaired driving and his driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days. His vehicle was impounded for seven days.
