Greater Sudbury Police stopped the suspect in January for speeding. He provided police with a false name, officers later learned, but at the time, he was charged with speeding (108km/h in a 80-km/h zone), driving without insurance, using plates not authorized for a vehicle, and driving without a licence.
As the result of a follow-up police investigation, the real identity of this individual was revealed. He was located and arrested on May 27. In addition to his previous charges, he now faces charges of identity fraud, obstructing a peace officer, public mischief and two counts of driving while disqualified.
