2 women robbed following knife attack

Two women were attacked and robbed after leaving a building on 720 Bruce St. June 3 around midnight.

The two women (ages 25 and 26 years) were followed outside the building by two other women (ages 24 and 28) and attacked.

One of the victims was cut with a knife. The other victim had a knife held to her throat. Injury to one victim was minor and no injury to the other victim. A purse was taken from one of the victims and it was not recovered.

Part of this attack was witnessed by a security guard who pulled one of the aggressors off one of the victims.

Both suspects fled the area. Canine and tactical officers attended for a dog track locating both suspects.

This matter was further investigated by Uniform officers and members of the Criminal Investigation Division, B.E.A.R. (Break, Enter and Robbery) Unit

Both woman were arrested for robbery, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and breaching court orders. Both will be held in custody for a bail hearing.
