Suspended driver refuses breath sample request

A 24-year-old man refused to provide a breath sample to police and has been charged as such by Greater Sudbury Police Service.

An officer on routine patrol on June 8 observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic fashion on Howey Drive just before 1 a.m., according to police. After being stopped, the driver refused to a provide a breath sample to the officer and was subsequently arrested.

He was also found to be on probation, as well as being a suspended driver.

He faces charges of refusing to provide a breath sample, driving while under suspension and careless driving. His vehicle was impounded for seven days.
