Police seize $29K worth of Oxycontin

Police have seized more than $39,000 worth of drugs and money from three women following a traffic stop on June 14, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service. A Sudbury woman and two other women from Ajax have been arrested.

Police have seized more than $39,000 worth of drugs and money from three women following a traffic stop on June 14, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A Sudbury woman and two other women from Ajax have been arrested.

Police searched the vehicle and found 100 80-mg oxycodone pills, a debt list and a small quantity of marijuana. A search warrant was then executed at a local hotel, where a safe containing another 227 80-mg oxycodone polls and $9,936 in Canadian currency and several more debt lists were found.

The drugs have a total street value of $29,485.
