Suspect caught driving 117 km/h on MR 80

A driver was charged with stunt driving after he was observed driving at 117 km/h on Municipal Road 80, near Valleyview Road, June 20.

The suspect was caught by Greater Sudbury Police officers who were conducting community patrols in the area at around 1 p.m.

Beyond the stunt driving charge, the suspect has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.

The suspect is due to appear in court in July.
