There were no impaired charges laid out of 580 vehicles checked June 23 during a Greater Sudbury Police Service RIDE initiative.

Five breath tests were conducted, and one person had their licence suspended. A total of 18 other tickets were handed out, and one driver was charged for driving while under suspension.

Police set up at Regent Street and Lasalle Boulevard.

Similarly, no impaired charged were laid during a RIDE initiative on June 21, when police set up spot checks on Municipal Road 80 at Centennial Drive in Hanmer and at Valleyview Road in Val Caron, as well as on Municipal Road 35 at Elizabeth Street in Chelmsford.

Officer checked 611 vehicles, and issued seven tickets for various infractions. Two breath tests were administered.
