A man is facing a number of charges after Greater Sudbury Police came upon him mid-assault.

Around 3:20 p.m. on July 7, the man was arrested near the Lorne Street Beer Store.

When police tried to gain control of him, he spat on officers. Eventually, he was put in the rear seat of a police cruiser, where he continued to spit and kicked out the rear driver’s side window.

He is facing charges of mischief under $5,000, assault, assaulting an officer and breach of probation.

He will be in bail court today, July 8.
