After a search that involved helicopters and tracking dogs, the OPP arrested two men just south of Noelville, off of Highway 607 shortly after 11 a.m. July 21.

Const. Shawn Fougere, a media relations officer with the OPP, said the police service received reports of break and enters in the area of Highway 607 at around noon July 20.

Shortly after 3 p.m. the same day, the OPP received reports of a man shooting rounds of ammunition at moving vehicles along Highway 607.

Fougere said he thinks six to eight vehicles were targeted by the suspect, who managed to shoot out windows in some of the vehicles.

“Absolutely nobody has been reported to us or anybody else right now as having any injuries,” he said.

The suspects had fled into the bush after the shooting incidents.

Residents in the area were asked to stay inside and keep their doors locked until the “armed and dangerous” suspects were arrested, Fougere said.
