A 38-year-old man chatted with a 14-year-old girl, exposed himself to her and then coerced her into sending nude photos of herself to him, Greater Sudbury Police Service alleged.

Officers from the cyber crime unit, in partnership with the Lasalle Police Service and the Windsor Police Service, started the investigation in July where the accused lured the teenage girl for a sexual purpose, according to police.

Police identified the Sudbury man Aug. 1, and he was arrested without incident. He was held for bail court, slated for today.

A search of his house resulted in the seizure of numerous computers, hard drives and electronic devices.

He has been charged with Internet luring of a child, indecent act and possession of child pornography.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service's cyber crime unit is part of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet which has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ministry of the Attorney General.
