Two youth charged in Maki Ave break in

Two youth were caught leaving a Maki Avenue residence around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3, shortly before police apprehended them following a break and enter.

The homeowners pursued the two suspects on foot when they returned home and found them leaving the side of their home. Police found one of the males near Nepahwin Beach, after he attempted to swim away. The other youth was located by the canine unit, hiding in the area.

Both youth were charged with break and enter and breaching court orders. They will be held in custody pending bail court.
