Capreol teen killed in dirt bike collision

A 16-year-old Capreol girl was killed Aug. 6 when the dirt bike she was driving crashed into a tree, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police and EMS responded to the collision just after 4 p.m. on a trail just north of Hanna Avenue in Capreol.

The teen suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to Health Science North where she later succumbed to her injuries, according to police.

A postmortem will be conducted in the next few days.

Greater Sudbury Police Service's traffic management unit is investigating the incident.
