Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a collision involving two passenger vehicles and a dump truck, according to the OPP.

Two people are dead following a collision involving two passenger vehicles and a dump truck on Highway 6 just north of Anderson Lake Road, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers from the Espanola detachment responded to the crash at 11:57 a.m. today. Highway 6 was closes between Clear Lake and the swing bridge at Little Current.

Two of the people involved in the collision were pronounced dead at the scene and three other occupants were taken to Health Sciences North in Sudbury.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of an OPP collision reconstructionist and an OPP technical traffic collision investigator who are on scene at this time.

Highway 6 is still closed in both directions at Clear Lake Road south of Espanola to Manitoulin Island. It is anticipated that the highway is to be re-opened later in the evening.
