Three people face a number of drug-related charges after police seized $2,900 worth of Oxycontin and marijuana, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Officers with the drug enforcement unit on Aug. 16 watched three adults acting suspiciously in a commercial parking lot on Notre Dame, police said in a news release. The same officers witnessed a drug transaction between the three.

Two men and one woman were arrested at the scene. Police seized 29, 80-mg Oxycontin pills, 58 grams of marijuana, two cellphones and $2,185 in currency.

The three suspects have been charged with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, failure to comply with recognizance of bail, and breach of a conditional sentence order.
