A single-vehicle collision on Falconbridge Road has caused a power outage in Garson and closed the road, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the area of Donnelly Drive at about 1 p.m. A truck was travelling north on Falconbridge Road when it left the roadway, hitting the pole and causing electrical wires to fall onto the road.

The road will be closed for several hours. Greater Sudbury Utilities is on scene for repairs, and it is anticipated that repairs may take up to five hours to complete.

The public is asked to call Greater Sudbury Utilities for further information relating to the service interruption.
