At around 11 a.m. Aug. 31, the suspect, who had been discharged from Health Sciences North, was seen lurking around the nurse's station. He had been asked to leave.
Shortly afterwards, the victim noticed her purse was missing. The suspect had gone through her purse and located her identification and the keys to her vehicle.
The suspect then located her vehicle, stole it, and drove it to her residence. He then entered the home and was in the midst of stealing items when he was interrupted by the nurse's spouse, who had come home to find him inside.
The nurse's spouse phoned police and held the suspect. The suspect was charged with several counts of theft, break and enter and driving while under suspension.
