Police searching for evidence in murder case

Greater Sudbury Police's tactical and search and rescue teams and the North Shore Search and Rescue were in Garson Sept. 1, looking for evidence relating to a murder in the community last week.

The search is focusing on the crime scene.

On Aug. 30, a 22-year-old man attending a party in a Garson sandpit was stabbed, and succumbed to his injuries. A second man was also stabbed, but received non life-threatening injuries.

Blake Lapierre, 18, has been charged with first degree murder.
