It seems one attempt at breaking into a Bancroft Drive home wasn't enough for two teenagers, because they returned to the same house several hours after their first attempt, alleges Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The homeowners came home around 10:15 p.m. Sept. 19 to find their door had been damaged. Attending police officers searched the home, and left to file a report.

Then shortly after 1 a.m. this morning, the homeowner called police because two youths were breaking into the house again. They gained entry to the house causing some damage to property inside the residence, said police in a news release.

Police attended and after a short foot chase, a 17-year-old male was arrested for break and enter and mischief, assaulting a police officer, mischief and five breaches of court orders. During the arrest, the teen allegedly assaulted the officer.

Through the use of the canine unit, police were able to locate the second suspect, a 15-year-old male. He was arrested for break, enter and mischief and breaching a court order.

Both will be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
