Driver sent to hospital after hitting moose

A collisions with a moose sent one person to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The collision happened on Municipal Road 80 at McCrea Heights near Donaldson Drive. The incident closed the southbound lane, but it has since been reopened.

Damage to the vehicle is extensive, said police. The moose was killed in the crash.
