Greater Sudbury Police set up RIDE checks on Lasalle Boulevard at Collége Boréal and on Lorne Street Oct. 5.

One 90-day licence suspension was issued, as well as nine highway traffic act offences. One driver blew over 80, one faced drug charges and one was charged with obstructing police.

A total of 474 vehicles were stopped during the checks.

“The ongoing RIDE program is aimed at reducing property damage, injuries and death caused by impaired driving,” a media release from police stated.
