Around 8 a.m., Oct. 14, police received a complaint of an erratic driver from the Valley East area, travelling southbound toward Sudbury. Police conducted a check of the New Sudbury area and located the vehicle and driver on Atlee Street a short time later. The vehicle was found to be disabled by a flat tire.
Through investigation, the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol with readings in excess of the legal limit. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The driver faces criminal charges of impaired driving and blow over 80.
The driver will be detained in police custody and may be released when sober with a court date and bound by ordered conditions.
