A pedestrian pushing a toddler in a stroller was rushed to hospital Sunday morning after being struck by a careening car following a collision on Lasalle Blvd.

Just before 11 a.m., a two-car collision occurred at the intersection of Lasalle Blvd and Diane St. when an eastbound vehicle turning onto Diane struck a westbound vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the westbound vehicle was forced off the road onto a sidewalk, where it struck a woman pushing a toddler in a stroller.

Both the woman and the child were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Traffic Management Unit continues to investigate.
