Alleged impaired driver rolls vehicle

A 30-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after he rolled his Ford Countour on Allan Street in Coniston Oct. 28 at about 4:45 p.m., said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

He was travelling west on Allan Street when he hit the shoulder of the road and flipped the vehicle. Witnesses contacted police. The vehicle was damages extensively, but the driver was not injured.

Officers at the scene noted the driver exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for breath tests, which showed he was more than double the legal limit.
