A 29-year-old Magnetawan man is in police custody after being charged with break, enter and theft, as well as breach of probation as a result of a break enter and theft at a Paris Street residence in mid-July, said Greater Sudbury Police Serviced.

At that time, a woman had reported to police that she had left for the weekend and came home to discover that her television and a number of other items totalling more than $1,000 had been stolen from her residence.

Subsequent investigation by the Greater Sudbury Police forensic unit identified the 29-year-old suspect as the perpetrator. He was arrested by the Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police and transferred to Sudbury.

He was to attend bail court Oct. 30.
