Police are looking for a man who used bear spray on two other people in an apparent home invasion and then fled the scene, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police were called to a Grandview Boulevard home Dec. 16 at 4:30 p.m. where it was reported that the suspect rang the door bell of the home and asked to speak with the homeowner's son.

The suspect was permitted to go into the basement where the homeowner’s son was present with a friend.

The suspect sprayed them with bear spray, then fled the scene in an unknown direction in a small blue car resembling a Chevrolet Cavalier.

The two victims were taken to Health Sciences North for attention to their injuries.

The suspect is described as being 5-10, brown hair and having a round face. He was also wearing a dark winter jacket.

The incident is still under investigation.
