It was a quiet night on Boxing Day for police officers conducting Festive RIDE spot checks in Sudbury.

There were no impaired driving charges, no licence suspensions and no Highway Traffic Act offences noted by officers, who checked 391 drivers Dec. 26. One driver, however, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Police set up on Falconbridge Road, Notre Dame Avenue and Brady Street.

Although Christmas has come and gone, the Festive RIDE program will continue every day for the rest of the month.
