One driver had their licence suspended Dec. 27 for failing a roadside breath test while going through a spot check for the Festive RIDE campaign, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

No one was charged with impaired, but officers did hand out 12 Highway Traffic Act offences after checking 285 drivers on Attlee Avenue, Municipal Road 35 and Regent Street.

The standardized field sobriety test was administered on four drivers. One was found not to be fit to operate a motor vehicle.

Another driver was found to have a small quantity of marijuana, said police.
