Impaired suspect rear-ends snowplow

A 36-year-old Coniston woman is facing several charges after she rear-ended a snowplow on the Hwy. 17 southeast bypass at 10:50 p.m. Jan. 4.

After the accident, the woman left the scene, but was followed by another motorist.

The OPP located and stopped the suspect's vehicle on Allan Street in Coniston, and she was charged with impaired driving, blowing over 80, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and careless driving.

Nobody was injured during the incident. The suspect is due to appear in court Jan. 23.
