Another suspended driver has been caught behind the wheel, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Officers conducting community patrols Jan. 6 in the area of Lorne Street observed a 2007 Saturn Outlook being driven in a suspicious manner. Officers were in the area targeting suspended drivers at the time.

The vehicle was stopped on Lorne Street, when it was learned that the driver has an suspended licence.

He was charged with driving under suspension and will be making a court appearance in early February.

It should be noted that Sudbury is home to an inordinately high number of suspended drivers, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. Moving forward, targeted enforcement is slowly but surely rectifying the situation and reducing the numbers.
