Collision leads to impaired charges

A 24-year-old man was charged with impaired driving following a single motor-vehicle collision in Hanmer on Jan. 13, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police were called to the collision at 3:30 a.m. Officers found that a vehicle had failed to negotiate a corner on Linden Road.

The driver was taken to Health Sciences North for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. After investigating, he was charged with impaired driving and over .08.

He will appear in court on Jan. 23 to answer to the charges.
