Two people face impaired driving charges from two separate incidents on Jan. 13, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The first incident happened in the early morning hours. Police responded to a rollover at 3:30 a.m. on Radar Road. The 24-year-old male driver was injured.

He was treated by EMS for his injuries, but in talking with police, officers detected an odour of alcohol. A demand was made for a breath sample, which the driver failed. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for more breath samples.

Then, at 10:55 p.m., officers were called to Pilon Street in Chelmsford where a vehicle ended up in the ditch.

A 54-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle has been charged with impaired after breath tests revealed her to be more than twice the legal limit.

Both drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
