A suspended driver was caught behind the wheel of an uninsured vehicle on Feb. 3, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police conducting community patrols on Lasalle Boulevard noted an older-model Saturn being driven in a suspicious fashion at about 10:30 a.m.

The vehicle and driver were stopped a short distance from where they were first observed, said police, and a review of the documentation associated to the vehicle and operator indicated that the driver was suspended and the car uninsured.

The driver was charged with driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
