An alleged drunk driver left the scene of a collision on Lasalle Boulevard near the Supermall on Feb. 4 at about 6:30 p.m., said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The two-vehicle crash involved a 2008 Montana van and a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. Extensive damage was done to both vehicles, but no one was injured.

The driver of the van, a 48-year-old woman, left the scene. Witnesses said she had been impaired.

Officers attended her Madison Avenue home and found the vehicle and the woman.

She was taken to police headquarters for breath tests, where she was found to be more than twice the legal limit.

Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
