A snowmobile driver was taken to Health Sciences North Feb. 23 after he crashed into a six-foot wall of snow on Simon Lake, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

While the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and will be “otherwise fine,” said police, the snowmobile was reported to be damaged beyond repair. Police attended the crash at about 3:30 p.m.

Greater Sudbury Police Service would like to take this opportunity to remind drivers to be careful when operating their machines and to be aware the surrounding terrain.
