A 58-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving after breath tests revealed she was impaired by more than three times the legal limit on Feb. 26, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Police received a call in the morning about a driver who had left a business in Val Caron. The driver was believed to be impaired by alcohol.

Officers were able to locate the driver in a nearby parking lot. She failed the breath test, was arrested and taken to police headquarters for further tests.

Results showed she was impaired by more than three times the legal limit.

Her licence was suspended, and her vehicle impounded.
