Police are looking for a man who assaulted a city transit driver on March 1.

At about 1 a.m., a transit bus picked up the suspect on Regional Road 80 in the Hanmer area. Once on the bus, he hit the driver twice in the face, causing minor injuries.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction. He was not known to the bus driver. He is described as Caucasian, in his 30s, with a medium build. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a grey hoodie, a dark winter coat, light-coloured jeans and brown boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
