Sudbury woman's death puzzles Toronto Police

After the death of a 22-year-old woman who media reports indicate was originally from the Sudbury and Elliot Lake areas, Toronto Police are appealing to the public for any information about how she might have died.

After the death of a 22-year-old woman who media reports indicate was originally from the Sudbury and Elliot Lake areas, Toronto Police are appealing to the public for any information about how she might have died.

Kasandra Bolduc went missing last November, and was last heard from Sept. 28, 2012, according to media reports.

According to a Aug. 9 press release from Toronto Police, officers from the Toronto Police Service Marine Unit recovered the body of a deceased woman from the waters of Lake Ontario May 22. The body, which was contained in a garbage bag, was identified as Bolduc.

The preliminary cause of death has been classified as undetermined. A post-mortem examination has been conducted, and final results are pending.

The investigation led officers from several jurisdictions – including the OPP, Niagara Regional Police Service and the Toronto Police Service – to various locations within Ontario.

Toronto Police are asking for the public's help in the case, as “all investigative leads into the death of Kasandra Bolduc have been exhausted.”
