Two injured in apartment blaze

Two people were injured in a two-storey apartment building fire on Fairview Avenue during the evening of Aug. 31. Greater Sudbury Fire Services say the blaze, which firefighters were called out to just after 11 a.m., caused about $200,000 in damage.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services say the blaze, which firefighters were called out to just after 11 a.m., caused about $200,000 in damage.

There was extensive fire damage in one unit and moderate smoke damage to the entire building. The 10 people living in the building's six units have been displaced.

It took eight fire vehicles and 23 firefighters to put out the fire.
