Sheri-Lynn McEwan was a Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience in the OR, said a news release from Health Sciences North.

Sheri-Lynn was a dedicated, hardworking and excellent nurse known for her outgoing personality, positive nature and warm smile. We want to extend our deepest sympathies to her family, friends and coworkers."
The name of an Estaire woman police believe was murdered Oct. 7 has been released.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a 911 call just after 4 p.m. on Monday at a residence on Elbow Ridge Road in Estaire. Inside the home, officers found a woman with serious injuries. Although EMS responded, the woman died from her injuries.
She has been identified as 40-year-old Sheri-Lynn McEwan of Estaire.
Police are treating the investigation as a murder.
The Sudbury OPP Crime Unit is investigating with the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Mike Bickerton.
