A 42-year-old North Bay man faces sexual assault and Internet luring charges after meeting with a 15-year-old Sudbury girl and engaging in sexual acts, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.
He was arrested Oct. 9 by the North Bay Police Service and turned over the Greater Sudbury Police Service.
Through the investigation, police learned the teen met with the suspect for a sexual purpose after several months of online and electronic chats.
Several electronic devices were seized for the purpose of data analysis.
The suspect is charged with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference and Internet luring.
Additional charges are pending.
The accused appeared for a bail hearing in Sudbury District on Oct. 10.
To protect the identity of the victim, the accused cannot be identified.
