RIDE spot check nets Criminal Code charges

One person faces was charged with a Criminal Code offence on Dec. 6 during the ongoing Festive RIDE program, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The offence is related to impaired driving, but police do not give an exact reason for the offence.

Officers also doled out 13 Highway Traffic Act tickets, and conducted eight roadside breath tests. No licences were suspended as a result.

Police set up spot checks on Brady Street at Cedar Street, Howey Drive at Downing Street, Big Nickel Mine Road, and Frood Road at Kathleen Street.
