Stabbing suspect charged with second-degree murder

The 24-year-old man arrested in the Dec. 12 fatal stabbing in Chelmsford has been charged with second-degree murder, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. Skylar Dalyk is scheduled for bail court today.

The 24-year-old man arrested in the Dec. 12 fatal stabbing in Chelmsford has been charged with second-degree murder, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Skylar Dalyk is scheduled for bail court today.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Timothy Lamothe.

Police were called to an O'Connor Street home on Dec. 12 shortly before 9 p.m. Lamothe was taken to Health Sciences North with stab wounds. He died as a result of those injuries.

Dalyk was arrested at 4 a.m. on Dec. 13.

Both Dalyk and Lamothe were known to each other.

The investigation is continuing.
