Friday the 13th proved to be an unlucky day for two drivers who decided to get behind the wheel after drinking.
One driver was caught at about 11 p.m. by Greater Sudbury Police Service at a RIDE check on Lloyd Street.
The 53-year-old driver failed a roadside breath test, was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
Several hours later, at 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 14, a 23-year-old man was charged with impaired after crashing his vehicle on Bancroft Drive. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where breath tests showed he was more than twice the legal limit.
He was also charged with another Criminal Code offence and was held for bail court the following morning.
Both drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded for seven days.
